Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) has officially introduced the new “250” series to its Land Cruiser lineup in Japan, alongside the release of two special edition models: the ZX “First Edition” and VX “First Edition.” These limited-edition models are restricted to a total of 8,000 units.

The “250” series marks the core of the Land Cruiser family. Designed with a focus on combining strong off-road performance with enhanced ease of handling, it aims to support the everyday lives of its owners.

The development team worked to return the Land Cruiser Prado—previously shifting towards a more high-end, luxury model—back to its roots as a light-duty, versatile vehicle. The guiding principle for the new series was “back to the basics,” with the overarching goal of creating “The Land Cruiser: a vehicle that supports customers’ daily lives and one they can trust.”

With the introduction of the “250” series, Toyota has further clarified the distinction between its Land Cruiser models. Additionally, the vehicle names have been unified under the single “Land Cruiser” brand, reinforcing the series’ commitment to adapting to societal needs while continuing to offer a trusted and reliable option for customers worldwide.
